The government in the fight against Achs expects hunters shooting wild boars to zero in the affected regions and to a very low level in the regions under threat. However, contrary to the requirements of the Polish Ministry of agriculture hunters do not want to destroy potential carriers of the virus. In their opinion, a mass shooting might damage the forest and is unlikely to stop the spread of ASF. In addition, the failure involves a violation of ethical standards.

This position has drawn sharp criticism from Argunovskaja to address the hunters. He accused them of inaction in response to hunting clubs provided state support in the form of supply of optical sights, night vision devices, as well as the provision of refrigerators for storage of animals shot. The Minister believes that due to the need to master special skills only hunters can use all this help for the scenario of a total reduction of a livestock of wild boars. Now it turns out that there is no one to do it.
