Over the last 10 years, the export of Yamal reindeer meat to EU countries increased by 10 times. The meat was supplied to Germany, Sweden, Finland. In 2017, our long-standing and reliable partner – the Finnish firm Polyarika – in under long-term contract bought from Yamal 500 tons of high quality leads figures the MP.

Since last year, the second Yamal meat processing complex – "Payuta" in Priuralsky district, received the right to supply reindeer meat to EU countries. I sent 32 tons to Germany and nearly five thousand skins in Finland.

Deep processing of reindeer products is considered to be one of the promising directions of import substitution. The region has seven processing facilities that are as close to the places of grazing. The shop, launched in Salekhard, produces 2.5 tons of delicacies in a shift.

– On the Yamal Peninsula annually produce more than 2.5 thousand tons of reindeer meat, it is planned to increase this amount to four thousand tons, – said Marat Abdrakhmanov.

In Gyde completed construction of slaughter house with capacity of 200 heads a day, which last year worked in test mode. When the competent organization will be here to harvest up to 300 tonnes of meat annually.

More recently, in Yar-sale opened a shop on production of canned meat deer. The villagers appeared more jobs and a local market received the new products.
