In January, the growth in shipments of crude palm oil made up 21% of the 408,9 thousand tons against 337,31 thousand tons in December 2018, olein – up 497,7 thousand tons (+16%), stearin – to 112,5 thousand tonnes (+26%). At the same time, reduced exports of refined – marginally to 59.1 thousand tonnes (of -19.5%) and palm – up to 15 thousand tons (-33%) oils.

In January significantly increased the import of Malaysian palm oil in the countries of the European Union — 402.2 thousand tonnes, which is 77% more than in December (226,4 thousand tons). Also, the increased supply in India — 329,5 thousand tonnes (322 thousand tonnes in December). 15 % (up to 255,3 thousand tons) imports palm oil from Malaysia to China.
