Roskoshestvo Maxim Protasov said in an interview with TASS in the framework of the Russian investment forum in Sochi. According to him, nthe problem, which was discussed in the Federal Assembly, divided into two parts. The first is the violation of protected appellations of origin for mineral water.
"You know that there is a problem such waters as #Essentuki, when according to statistics, 100 million liters of such water is produced, but sold in stores – more than 150 million liters. We definitely understand that this difference is a pseudo-"Essentuki". On our part and on the part of regulators rather high attention to this project, and maybe it will be included in the draft labeling – this will give you the opportunity to really ensure that our mineral water will not be tampered with", – said the speaker.
The second problem is the so-called legal fake, which may involve both the mineral and regular drinking water. In the case of drinking water, the manufacturers can call it natural spring water production from common sources of supply, which is obtained by reverse osmosis and adding minerals if it is not prohibited by the legislation, said Protasov.
