Thus, the Agency is studying the issue of the abolition or preservation of the rule according to which rural women are entitled to a shortened 36-hour workweek. About this newspaper "Izvestia", citing the Ministry.

Now women in the villages work 36 hours per week, not 40 like everyone else, but receive full salary.

In the State Duma reacted to the possible increase in the working day for inhabitants of villages. According to a member of the Duma Committee on labor, social policy and veterans Affairs, Vice-President of the Confederation of labour of Russia Oleg Shein, the proposal is impractical.

"The initiative is senseless, there (in the village) almost all of the work informally. People who work on the design of the employment relationship, virtually no, he stated in comments to the Federal news Agency. — Take the example of the native of the Astrakhan region — the population is approximately equal to a million people, and work in agriculture only 4 thousand people, and the region is traditionally considered agricultural".

As explained by the interlocutor of the FAN, the key problem of rural inequality, which requires systemic solutions for improving the quality of life in the regions.

"The village is different from city? In the village worse infrastructure, difficult access to social institutions — be it medicine, education or culture. It requires utmost attention and solutions aimed at maintaining the social environment. Not to say that in this area nothing is done. Noteworthy are individual projects, for example, "Zemsky doctor", when stimulated by the work of citizens in rural areas of the chosen specialty, financing of school buses and support for distance learning," explained Shein.

In his opinion, in rural areas there is also the issue of outflow of the young population in the city.

"We are well aware that these measures are insufficient, in connection with which we see the intense outflow of young people from villages, which also undermines agriculture," he concluded.

Earlier it became known that an incentive to improve productivity for the Russians is to increase wages. According to the public opinion polls centre NAFI, 75% of respondents said that they are ready to work harder if they increase wages.
