Agricultural holding "Miratorg" in the framework of the doctrine of food security of the country and the task of increasing the export potential of the agricultural sector has embarked on the territory of Kursk region of Russia's largest interregional project to double capacity of the pig breeding division. The project includes the construction of feed plant, Europe's largest robotic slaughterhouse, as well as new pig farms.
In Kursk region there are now more than 20 pig-breeding grounds "Miratorg", which contains a quarter of all the pig livestock of the agricultural holding. In 2018, the farm produced about 115 thousand tons of pork in live weight.
To increase in 2019 "Miratorg" plans by increasing production efficiency and achieving the planned capacity at existing pig farms, as well as the launch of new pig breeding sites in several districts of the Kursk region.
"Production growth will have a positive socio-economic effect for the region, as it will allow to increase tax deductions, including the consolidated budget of the region, and create more jobs with decent wages in rural areas", - said the press service of the holding.
