"According to information from NSA on August 1, the Voronezh region has confirmed its leading positions in Russia in the insured area of spring crops: for contracts with state insured 405,3 thousand hectares of crops, accounting for nearly 24% of the planned area of spring sowing in the region (1.7 million hectares). Accordingly, the region came in first place on this indicator and in the Central Federal district", – said the President of the NRA of the Roots of biggov.

Further, at positions in the Central Federal district – Tambovskaya oblast with the figure insured areas 135.5 thousand hectares, which exceeds 10% of the planned sowing. The third – Oryol oblast 73.6 thousand hectares, the coverage is about 10%.

Completing the top five in the district of Kursk and Lipetsk region in which the insurance protection on the conditions of state support secured, respectively, of 70.0 hectares and 26.2 thousand ha – about 6% of the spring crop is planned in the Kursk and about 3% in the Lipetsk region.

"The main regions of the Central Federal district, who used insurance tool to protect the crops in the current year, is located in the Chernozem zone of the district, – said the President of the NRA of the Roots of biggov. – To the above mentioned regions, you can add the Belgorod region, which restores the practice of government support of crop insurance, however, low-level – policies provided 10.9 thousand hectares or about 1% of planted acreage in the spring. A similar situation is observed in the Tula region – the insured 5,5 thousand hectares, about 1% of the area".

"The trend this season has been the emergence of interest in insurance of agricultural crops to the North of Moscow, – said the President of NSA. In Ivanovo region the insured is 5.2 thousand hectares, which exceeds 7% of the spring crop in the region. In the Yaroslavl region – 2.5 thousand hectares, more than 2% of the cultivated area of spring".

"In almost all the regions of the CFD coverage of spring planting insurance increased compared to last year, or the crop insurance recovered with null values", – stressed Roots of biggov.

In General, CFA on August 1, was insured 735 thousand hectares of crops sown in the first half of the year. The marked growth of this index was more than 6 times relative to the similar period in 2018, when the insured was 111 thousand hectares.
