"Already cut and threshed more than 6 thousand hectares of rice fields. All the farmers have to take a pic with the area of more than 125 thousand hectares to 8 thousand hectares more than last year," – said Veniamin Kondratiev.

According to him, in the progress of sowing seeds were used mainly Kuban breeding.

"Largely thanks to our scientists for the last 10 years the rice industry has leaped forward: crop yield in the region increased from 47 t/ha to 75 kg/ha, and annual total production has grown to almost 900 thousand tons. In addition, we support industry with subsidies, only last year, rice farmers received 215 million rubles," - said the Governor.

He added that this year the state increased to 240 million rubles – subsidies related to the supply and discharge of water for rice irrigation system. Over 14 million rubles on the purchase of elite seeds of rice.

"We expect that this year gross harvest of rice will not be less than in the past. Now the farmers have an important task – to do the cleaning in the shortest possible time and without loss, and lay it for safekeeping. Rice-growing areas is kept under control and harvest and provide farmers with the necessary assistance in this period", – concluded Veniamin Kondratiev.
