According to the Ministry of communications of the Russian Federation, in the framework of the national programme "Digital economy" to the end of this year in 83 constituent entities to the Internet using access points must be connected to almost 14 thousand settlements with number of inhabitants from 250 to 500 people. According to 30 June 2019, to the Internet using fiber-optic communication line has been connected 9 650 settlements, using other communication lines – 222. Connect 4 358 settlements.

"One of the main objectives of the national programme "Digital economy" – the elimination of digital inequality in Russia. The Russian village today is largely inferior to the cities for quality of life, and we hope that through this nutsprogramme rural areas will be able to solve one of the urgent problems. And our activists, for their part, control whether realized digitalization to rural residents and how satisfied they were with the quality of service of Internet access," said the coordinator of the onf project "Village. The territory of development", the President of the Russian Union of rural youth Julia Ogloblina.

In each region, the activists of the onf project "Village. The territory of development" and the Russian Union of rural youth will visit rural settlements. The list of objects for monitoring was provided by the Ministry digital development, communications and mass communications of the Russian Federation.

In the survey, the social worker will ask the villagers to tell how things are going with Internet access in their settlement, whether there are failures when connecting, and in some cases, how they assess the quality of such services. Those who do not know about the access points, the organizers of the survey will inform about the possibilities of using universal Telecom services in rural areas and will distribute the leaflets.

The monitoring results will be analyzed and communicated to the regional authorities.
