Summer sowing in Yakutia to cover 40,9 thousand hectares

- The minister of RF Agriculture Nikolay Fedorov took part at meeting of the State commission on questions of social and economic development of Far East, Republic of Buryatia, Zabaykalsky Krai and Irkutsk region which was held by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Yakutia.
- The Minister of Agriculture of Yakutia Ivan Sleptsov reported on the current situation in spring sowing campaign preparation.
- In 2013 summer sowing is planned to cover 40,9 thousand hectares that is 2012 level.
- The summer grain will be planted on the area of 10 thousand hectares, potatoes — on the area of 8,2 thousand hectares, vegetables – on 2 thousand hectares.
- The republic increases fodder areas – from 17,6 thousand hectares in 2012 to 25 thousand hectares.
- Social arrangement of the village in Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) became other important subject at the meeting. In 2013 it is planned to allocate 337,5 million rubles from the federal budget for these purposes.
