Regional Minister Tatyana Kravtsev held a meeting with representatives of plant-growing and processing enterprises of the region, agrarian scientific учреждений5 February 2016 in the Ministry of agriculture held a working meeting on the issue "Production and processing of durum wheat in the region". The event was opened and hosted a regional Minister Tatyana Kravtsev.

The meeting was attended by representatives of crop and processing enterprises of the region; agrarian scientific and specialized institutions; experts of the Ministry of agriculture of the region. Starting the meeting, Tatiana Kravtsev reminded the audience that the current year has been declared the Governor of the region Vladimir Radium – Year farmer.

Tatiana stressed that farmers in the area have the experience and provisions for the cultivation of durum wheat, are in demand in the grain market. It is important to develop production technology that is a market. The participants of the meeting exchanged views on the prospects of growing and processing this crop in the region.

During the meeting the participants discussed the possibility of solving the problem of processing of agricultural raw materials in the region. One of the areas of work was identified as a mechanism of primary processing of raw materials from local producers.

The production of durum wheat in 2015 71 was engaged in farming in 18 districts of the region. According to statistics in the region in 2015 produced by 85.2 thousand tons of pasta or 130,4% compared to 2014. The demand of processors for the current year in the durum wheat is 80 tons.
