In the recently published forecast report, the international grains Council (IGC) increased its estimate of grain production in Russia for the 2015-16 MG to 99,4 million tons.

Earlier harvest prospects were 0.5 million tonnes more modest. Recall that in the previous season the crop amounted to 100.5 million tons, and in the 2013-14 year, domestic farmers have collected 88.7 million tons of grain. The size of the initial stocks of grain in the country amounted to 9.8 million tons.

The estimate in respect of the supply of grain in Russia in the current report increased by 0.4 million tons to 110 million tons. In the previous season this figure was equal to 109 million tons.

Grain imports in the country, as anticipated before, will be 0.9 million tons in this season. The February report promised procurement of 0.2 million tonnes more modest. We will remind, a year earlier this index was fixed at around 0.6 million tons.

Export potential of grain crops in 2015-16 MG, according to current expectations, could reach 31.3 million tons. Previously the forecast was the same. Recall that in the 2014-15 season the exports of grain in the country was 0.7 million tons lower. Forecast of consumption of grain in the Russian Federation in this season in the current report increased by 0.5 million tons to 69 million tons.

A year earlier the country was used at 0.4 million tons of crops less. The final size of grain reserves in 2015-2016 in Russia in the current month are projected at 9.8 million tons, as in the previous year. We will remind, last report the prospects were similar.
