Spring sowing in the whole country carried out on an area of 40.9 thousand hectares or 77.9% of the forecast (2015 – 38.4 million hectares).

Including in the Crimean Federal district, spring sowing is conducted on the area 278,9 thousand ha or 112% of the forecast (in 2015 – RUB 210.1 thousand hectares). In the district of North completed.

In the southern Federal district – 5.1 million ha or 81.9% of the forecast (2015 and 5.3 million hectares).

In the North Caucasian Federal district – more than 1.6 million ha or 91% of the forecast (2015 and 1.6 million hectares).

In the Central Federal district – 7.7 million ha or 83.3% of the forecast (2015 – 8,2 million ha).

In the Volga Federal district – 13.3 million hectares or 85,1% of the forecast (2015 and 12.4 million ha).

In the North-West Federal district – 348,7 thousand hectares or 72.3% of the forecast (2015 – 307,1 thousand hectares).

In the far Eastern Federal district – 790,3 thousand ha or 43.4% of the forecast (2015 – 779,4 thousand hectares).

In the Siberian Federal district 8.8 million ha, or 68.7 per cent of the forecast (2015 – 7.9 million hectares).

In the Urals Federal district – more than 3.0 million ha or 69.7% of the forecast (2015 and 1.7 million ha).

Spring grain crops in the whole country planted on an area of 25.3 million hectares, or 81.4% of the forecast (2015 and 23.1 million hectares). Of these, spring wheat area of about 11.0 million ha or 83.3% of the forecast (2015 and 8.9 million ha). Spring barley was sown on an area of 6.8 million hectares, or 83.6 per cent of the forecast (2015 6.7 million hectares). Corn for grain – on an area of 2.5 million hectares, or 82,9% of the forecast (2015, 2.5 million ha). Rice – on the area of 163,6 hectares of 80.3% of the forecast (2015 – 170,3 thousand hectares).

Sugar beet was sown over 1.0 million hectares or 100.1% of the forecast (2015 – 997,2 thousand hectares).

Flax was sown on the area of 40.9 thousand ha or 79.3% of the forecast.

Sunflower for grain was sown 5.9 million hectares or 84.6% of the forecast (2015 to 5.8 million hectares).

Spring rape was sown 733,4 thousand ha or 80.1% of the forecast (2015 to 678.4 thousand hectares).

Soybeans planted on an area of more than 1.2 million hectares or 55% of the forecast (2015 and 1.3 million ha).

Potatoes in agricultural organizations and peasant (farm) planted on the area of 251,3 thousand hectares or 73.6% of the forecast (2015 – 270,3 thousand hectares), vegetables planted on an area of 119,8 thousand hectares, or 64.8 per cent of the forecast (2015 – 123.7 thousand hectares).
