The increase in the consumption of grain in the world demands increase in volumes of production of 800 million tonnes by 2050 compared to 2015 Ukraine is one of the countries that can ensure the growth of grain production at the expense of fulfilling their potential. He stressed that investors believe in Ukraine's production potential, i.e. that a country can increase grain production by half.

According to V. Klimenko, the increase in the yield of major grain crops into existing crop acreage in Ukraine by 2050, it is possible to increase grain production up to 99,1 million tons, including 41.4 million tons of wheat, 43.3 million tons of corn and 14.4 million tonnes of barley.

In addition, he noted that on the world market the highest increase in yield is expected in the segment of corn.

"Total gross harvest of grain should be increased by 310 million tonnes from 0.97 billion in 2015 to 1.28 billion tons in 2050, the Required increase in global wheat production by 2050 is estimated at 230 million tons (from 0.74 to 0.97 billion tons)", – said the head of the UGA.
