The French newspaper La France Agricole published a study which examines two scenarios of the effects of global warming (increasing drought, floods, hurricanes) on aggregate agricultural production in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan (the study of a medium-term one). According to pravomu - moderate development scenario, the collection of wheat, corn and sunflower in these countries will decrease by 3-4%. The second scenario is extreme, suggests that the effects of global warming are most affected Kazakhstan and Russia, and in Ukraine the harvest will be reduced moderately.

"As these countries are the world's leading exporters, the consequences in terms of prices at the international level will be extremely noticeable", — reported in the survey.

The report, funded by the Ministry of agriculture of France, it is reported that the maize harvest in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine will decrease in the medium term 70%, sunflower 50%, wheat by 29%.

According to the authors of the report, in the coming years we should also expect the occurrence of sharp jumps of the prices for wheat, corn and sunflower.
