The ODA group has reduced the forecast for the soft wheat crop in France by 3 million tons to 32 million tons, after the study of crops showed poor formation of granules, according to Reuters.

Wheat production will be the lowest since 2007. Last year, French farmers have collected a record harvest, which amounted to almost 41 million tons.

ODA is revising the forecast of gross yield of wheat the second time in a week amid growing concerns that the yield this year will fall sharply due to heavy rains. Last week the forecast was reduced from 36.5 million tons to 35 million tons.
