According to analysts, in June 2016 in Thailand, there was a significant increase in the import of key oil crops - to 305 thousand tonnes from 151 million tons in the same month a year earlier, reports APK-inform. With virtually the entire specified volume was soybeans - 299 (144) thousand tons, the demand from local processors is increasing.

In turn, the supply of oilseed meals in Thailand in the period decreased to 269 (301) thousand tonnes of which the share of soybean meal had 240 (254) thousand tonnes.

Import of rapeseed meal decreased to 9 (34) thousand tonnes, while purchases of sunflower meal was 12 (0) thousand tons.

Import of vegetable oils in the country in June remained at the previous year level of 17 thousand tons.

Just October-June 2015/16 in Thailand was supplied by 2.13 million tons of oilseeds against 1.7 million tons in the same period of the previous season, of which soya beans amounted to 2.07 (1,63) million tons. Import of oilseed meals decreased to 2,4 (2,6) million tons, oil - to 157 (215) thousand tons.
