According to the report, cereal production in Ukraine could fall to 61.8 million tonnes in 2016-17 MG. The forecast is updated in early July, prospects were 3.4 million tons lower than the current. In the previous season's grain harvest yielded consensus expectation of 1.1 million tons.

It is estimated that in 2014-15 year, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 64.4 million tons of various grain crops. Recall that in 2013-14 grain production in Ukraine amounted to 62.4 million tons.

The size of the initial stocks of grain in 2016-17 MG, according to the current IGC, could be reduced to 4.8 million tonnes. Last forecast recorded reserves at the beginning of the period under review by 0.9 million tons higher. In the previous year this figure was estimated at 9.1 million tons. In the 2014-15 season, the reserves were equal to 7.3 million tonnes and in 2013-14 amounted to 5.3 million tons.

With regard to export crops, according to the current expectations of the International grains Council, its size could reach 35.1 million tons, 3.3 million tons less than in season 2015-16. In the 2014-15 season overseas deliveries amounted to 30.6 million tons of grain.

Consumption of grain in Ukraine in the season 2016-17 is projected to be $ 25.6 million tons. Previously, the rating was 0.4 million tons less. In the previous two marketing years, the volume of usage were 26.7 million tons, and 27.8 million tons, respectively.
