World grain market: reality and prospects
25th August 2016.

Wednesday, August 24, on grain trading at the American stock exchanges, the market continued to fall. Fundamental factors of the world grain market remains negative. A high level of supply of grain and relatively low demand exert downward pressure on world market prices for the last few weeks. Low growth of world economy will also negatively impact on cereal prices. Active harvesting campaign of wheat in the USA and in Europe only add downward pressure on prices. On the other hand the reduction of gross yield of corn in Argentina, Brazil and South Africa, the quality of the wheat crop in France, Australia and Argentina, as well as a possible revival of demand give reasons to support world grain prices in the short term.
