Russia and Venezuela will sign an agreement on supplies of grain
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced the forthcoming signing of an agreement with Russia on supplies of grain

In late November, the Rosselkhoznadzor reported that Moscow and Caracas will soon agree and sign a Protocol for the start of wheat exports to the Venezuelan market. Then in the negotiations participated representatives of the Ministry of agriculture, the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Embassy of Venezuela in Russia, Russian companies-exporters, as well as Venezuelan state-owned Corpovex responsible for the import of grain crops in the country.

During the negotiations the delegation of Venezuela expressed a high interest in imports of Russian grain.

"In the coming days, according to the decree of President Putin we will close the agreement, to ensure (supply - ed.) of all the grain that you want Venezuela bread, it concerns a residue of this year, 2017 and 2018," said Maduro during the event in Caracas.

The Venezuelan President noted that Russia is the largest grain producer in the world.
