IGC raised forecast for global grain production
The international Grains Council (IGC) increased its estimate of global grain production this season by 8 million tonnes to a record 2 077 million tonnes, 4% more than last year

Forecast corn production was increased by 8 million tonnes to 1035 million tonnes, with the Increase mostly in Argentina, India and the United States. 1 million tons to 748 million tons raised the rating of the world's gross wheat harvest, mainly at the expense of the black sea countries. Trade activity will be somewhat lower than the peak achieved last season, due to reduced exports to China. The Chinese authorities are taking measures to reduce the volume of purchases of imported grain and stimulate its own production. Due to the increase of import of wheat in India the world trade of wheat will set a record – 167 (164 and 164) mln t.

Carryover stocks of grain will increase to 498 (492 and 475) million tonnes Reserves at the world's largest exporters will rise to the highest level in the last seven years – 165 (163 and 149) million tonnes.
