So, at the end of 2015/16 the production of linseed oil in the country amounted to 16.9 million tonnes, which is a historical maximum and 5 times higher than the previous season.

Volumes of export of Flaxseed oil are also growing in proportion to the volume of its production. According to the customs control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of RK, for 2015/16, the country had shipped 5.5 thousand tons of linseed oil, which accounted for a third of total output. Furthermore, this growth was driven by strong demand from China, which buys almost 100% of linseed oil exported by Kazakhstan.
