The volume of export of maize reached 22.9 million tons, surpassing the record set in 2013. – 20.3 million tons compared to 2015. corn exports grew by 33%, wheat – by 204% to 8.9 million tons due to the abolition of restrictions on the export of these crops.

The major buyers of Argentine corn in the past year were: Vietnam (4.3 million tons), Egypt (3.0 million tons), Algeria (2.4 million tons), Malaysia (1.8 million t), South Korea (1.5 million tons), South Africa (1.5 million tons) and Brazil (1.4 million MT).

Wheat was exported, mainly to Brazil (3.9 million tons) and the countries of Asia: Indonesia (1.4 million tonnes), Thailand (0.8 million tonnes), Vietnam (0.7 million tonnes) and South Korea (0.6 million tons).
