According the British Association of grain producers exporting wheat in January 2017 dropped to the lowest level in the last year and a half, reaching a volume of just over 91 thousand tons

The export of wheat of the new crop of 2016 from the UK started rather actively. This was facilitated by several factors. First of all, problems with the harvest in neighbouring France, the weakening of the pound and the high quality of the grain produced. The result was carried out exports to States not party to the usual consumers of wheat to the UK. For example, Algeria, which traditionally buys French wheat, was forced to seek new suppliers, and made in the UK. In addition delivery was carried out according to the usual scheme in the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal.

However, after several months of active export proposals on the sales of grain in the country began to decline, reaching a low in January of this year. All in all since the beginning of the season the island nation sold to the external market of about 1.16 million tons of wheat, compared with the same period last season less than 11%.
