In many countries large producers of flour, there is either little growth (USA) or reducing production (Germany, France, UK), which indicates the difficulties faced by producers of wheat. In Argentina and Brazil, the processing of wheat into flour, on the contrary, significantly increased. In Eastern Europe, Russia and Canada flour production remained stable.
World wheat consumption for food purposes will continue to grow, predicts IGC. In season 2017/18, it will be 502,9 million tonnes, 6.7 million tonnes more than in the current season.
