Including in the southern Federal district – 5.1 million hectares or 83% of the sowing areas in the North Caucasian Federal district – 1.7 million ha, or 76.4% of the sowing areas, in the Central Federal district 3.6 million hectares, or 92.7 per cent of the sowing area, in the Volga Federal district – about 2.3 million hectares or 51.5% of the sowing areas in the North-West Federal district – 83,0 thousand hectares or 82,9% of the sowing areas in the Urals Federal district, 14.3 thousand ha or 21% of the sowing areas, in the Siberian Federal district – 40.1 thousand ha, or 11.1% of the sowing areas.

Spring sowing in the whole country conducted on the area of 12.2 million ha or 23.2% of the forecast (2016 12.8 million ha). Including in the southern Federal district spring sowing carried out on an area of 3.5 million ha or 55.9% of the forecast (2016 to 4.0 million hectares). In the North Caucasus Federal district – 1.4 million hectares or 76.2% of the forecast (2016 to 1.3 mn ha). In the Central Federal district 5.3 million ha, or 57,2% of the forecast (2016 to 4.0 million hectares). In the far Eastern Federal district 205,7 thousand hectares or 11.1% of the forecast (2016 – 216,2 thousand hectares). In the Volga Federal district – 1.6 million hectares or 10.3% of the forecast (2016 and 2.8 million hectares). In the North-Western Federal district – 28.2 thousand ha or 5.7% of the forecast (2016 – 98.5 thousand ha). In the Urals Federal district – 53.2 thousand ha or 1.2% of the forecast (2016 – 29.1 thousand ha), in the Siberian Federal district 121,3 thousand hectares or 0.9% of the forecast (2016 – 398,5 thousand hectares).

Spring grain crops in the whole country was sown on the area of 7.1 million hectares or 22.8% of the forecast (2016 – 7.8 million ha). Of these, spring wheat was sown on the area of 1.0 million hectares or 7.5% of the forecast (2016 to 1.3 mn ha). Spring barley on the area of 3.0 million hectares or 38.5% of the forecast (2016 and 3.5 million hectares). Corn for grain – on the area of 1.6 million hectares or 52.9% of the forecast (2016 and 1.4 million hectares). Rice was sown on the area of 39.3 hectares or 18.6% of the forecast (2016 – 38,0 thousand hectares).

Sugar beet (factory) were sown 961,4 thousand hectares 85.2% of the forecast (2016 – 810,4 thousand hectares).

Sunflower for grain was sown on an area of 2.2 million hectares or 30.3% of the forecast (2016 – 2.1 million ha).

Spring rape sown on the area of 147.1 thousand ha or 16.7% of the forecast (2016 to 115.2 thousand hectares).

Soybeans were sown 376,0 thousand hectares or 16.6% of the forecast (2016 – 223.4 m ha).

Potatoes in the agricultural enterprises and peasant (farm) planted on the area of 63.7 hectares or 19% of the forecast (2016 – 61.0 thousand ha), vegetables planted on an area of 57.7 thousand hectares or 28.3% of the forecast (2016 – 66.5 thousand hectares).
