The July futures closed Friday's trading at $4,65¼ per bushel ($170,9/t) against $4,45¾ per bushel ($163,8/t) the closure of the previous weeks.

A major factor in the growth of the market once again became the condition of spring wheat in the United States. Statslib when USDA's NASS as of June 11, reduced estimate of the proportion of the crop in good/excellent condition from 10 percentage points to 45%. It was a surprise for the market, who had expected on average by 2 percentage points, the worst figure since 2006.

The poor condition of spring wheat in the United States was the impetus for the mass closure of short positions (bets on a market decline) speculative funds. As of June 13 outdoor net interest speculative funds (the difference between the number of contracts for the purchase and sale contracts) amounted -85,7 thousand contracts against -112,4 thousand contracts a week earlier.
 
Export prices for Russian wheat (12.5%) in deepwater ports in the week appreciated by $0.5 to $189,5/t (FOB). The price of wheat of the new harvest have grown more confident, to $180-183/t (+4$).
