Grain prices have grown despite the forecasts, therefore, in holding grain purchasing interventions there is "serious need", said the head of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev.

"Now the price has grown for grain, so there is no serious need to go out tomorrow to the market and buy up (grain – ed.) in intervention Fund. The situation on grain prices more favorable than were the predictions a month or two ago. So we have these opportunities, but we are not in a hurry to use them, these tools", — said the Minister.

The authority previously approved limits the minimum purchase price for intervention in the grain market.
