As of 1 July of the current year in agricultural, procurement and processing organizations of the Russian Federation were available 15,352 million tons of grain, which is 1.65 million tons (12%) higher than on the same date in 2016. this was announced by Rosstat.

In comparison with the figure at the beginning of July last year, the stocks of grains in agricultural organizations increased by 157 thousand tons (2.6%) to 6,171 thousand tons in the procurement and processing organizations - 1,493 million tonnes (by 19.4%) to 9,181 million tons.

In particular, at the reporting date in the procurement and processing organizations were in the presence of 6.84 million tonnes of wheat (+17,9%), including food – 5,225 million tons (+17.7 percent).

Stocks of barley as of 1 July increased 6.5% to 847 thousand tons of rye, 17.6%, to 320 thousand tons, including food - by 15.7% to 296 thousand tons, corn – on 46%, to 907 thousand tonnes.

Also to the beginning of the reporting month increased stocks of buckwheat in 2,1 times – up to 52 thousand tons, oats – by 36.1% to 82 thousand tonnes and millet – at 96.3%, to 24 thousand tons.

At the same time, a decrease compared to the figure at the beginning of July 2016, stocks of rice by 28.5% to 37 thousand tonnes.
