In June exported the maximum for a given month, the volume of sunflower – 21.8 thousand tons, which is 0.9% above the supply last month and 1.5 times more compared with June last year.

Since the beginning of the 2016/17 season (September-June), the export of sunflower made up of 219.1 thousand tons, nearly 42% ahead of indicators of export statistics for the same period last marketing year (154,4 thousand tons).

The geography of export of sunflower seeds from Kazakhstan in the current season is gradually expanding. Traditionally, 90% of the total foreign trade is with Uzbekistan and China, and for the first ten months of the 2016/17 season, these mills have already exported sunflower more than all of last season.

Iran to resume in the current season import seeds from Kazakhstan, took 4% of total exports and was the third in the rating of countries-importers. In addition, in June this year the first batch of seeds sent to Moldova and Togo.
