Since the beginning of the 2017/18 season (July-August) to foreign markets supplied to 22.8 thousand tons, which is 8% less compared with the corresponding period of the previous marketing year (24.3 thousand tonnes).

The exported volume was the lowest over the past three seasons, according to analysts at UkrAgroConsult. In the first months of the new marketing year, Ukraine has seen a reduction in the volumes of rapeseed processing in favor of the export of oilseeds, which led to a drop in exports of rapeseed oil.

The geography of exports of Ukrainian rapeseed oil for the first two months of the 2017/18 season has not changed significantly. Still, the main volume goes to European countries, however, China increased its purchases in Ukraine to 3.1 thousand tons compared to 0.5 thousand tons in the previous year, took 13% of the market (in 2016/17 MG - 2%). The volume of exports to the EU countries and their share were reduced from 98% to 87%.
