Recall that the European Parliament in April this year supported the resolution on restriction of volumes of import of palm oil in the EU, which should contribute to reducing the rate of tropical deforestation, and also allow you to create a single system with rigid conditions on the certification of palm oil and its products. In addition, the decision was made to progressively reduce by 2020 the use of palm oil in the biofuel industry of the EU.

In turn, Indonesia and Malaysia, which account for about 85% of world production of palm oil, according to the decision of the European Parliament biased.
