It is stipulated by the agreement on mutual cooperation signed on 25 December by the Governor of the Altai territory Alexander Karlin and General Director of JSC "UGC" Mikhail Kiyko, reported the press service of the UGC.

"One of the priority projects envisaged Long-term development program of JSC "UGC" is the project of realization of construction of a Specialized grain terminal in the port of Zarubino in the Khasan district of Primorye", - said at the signing ceremony, M. Kiyko.

He also reminded that this project implements a subsidiary of JSC "UGC" - OOO "far East grain terminal". The handling capacity of a specialized terminal at the first start-up complex will amount to 3 million tons of grain a year, with the prospect of up to 10 million tons of grain a year.

"This agreement is important for the Altai region, which is not only a producer but also the custodian of the intervention Fund about 200 thousand tons is stored at the 20 enterprises of the region. In addition, enterprises of the region are the largest processors of grain into flour in the country. We produced 1.2 million tons of flour per year. We are interested in deliveries of grain and flour for export," - in turn, said Alexander Karlin.

As expected, the agreement will allow in the future to open an alternative channel of export of grain and products of its processing for regions of the far Eastern grain belt, which includes the Ural region (Tyumen and Kurgan oblast), Siberia (Altai and Krasnoyarsk Krai, Novosibirsk and Omsk region.), as well as the regions of the Far East.

"This corridor opens out to the countries of South-East Asia, with a market capacity of more than 70 million tons of grain a year", - underlined in the message.
