Soybean harvesting in Brazil was completed by 17%, according to AgRural (19% last year; 26% - average five-year value).

Safras&Mercado has increased the production forecast on the basis of indicators of average productivity in the United States Goias, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, são Paulo. According to Safras & Mercado, the sown area of soybean in the current season amounted to 35,25 million hectares (+1.44 million ha to last year). The increased area can compensate for lower yields in other key regions of production.

During the current sowing campaign the farmers of Mato Grosso reported the increased moisture content of incoming soybeans. The share of the state in the production of soybean in Brazil is around 30%.
