However, analysts say that these weather conditions will not contribute to lower yields in key regions-producers – France, Germany, UK, Poland and Romania.

So, in the EU in 2018, the yield of wheat experts predict level of 5.97 t/ha, which is 4.2% more than last year and 2% in average for the last 5 years. In particular, higher yields are expected in France to 7.38 t/ha (+5,7%; +1,8%), Germany to 2.98 t/ha (+5,2%; +1,7%), the UK – to 8.21 t/ha (+0,2%; +0,6%), Poland to 4.74 t/ha (+1,4%; -3.2%) and Romania – to 4.8 t/ha (+22%; -1.5 per cent).

The yield of barley in EU is expected at the level of 5.03 t/ha, which is 2.5% higher than in 2017 and 2.8% on average over the last 5 years. Thus, in France the yield of barley can be of 6.62 t/ha (+3,9%; +4,5%), Germany to 2.81 t/ha (+6,4%; +4,4%), UK to 6.21 t/ha (+0,2%; +2%), Spain to 2.9 t/ha (-0,3%; +29%).

In addition, the MARS analysts predict that the yield of rapeseed in the EU in 2018 will reach to 3.33 t/ha, which is 1.5% higher than last season, and 2.6% over the last 5 years. The increase in this indicator is expected in Romania up to 2.92 t/ha (+8,7%; +1,9%), Poland to 3.08 t/ha (+4,7%; +2,8%), Spain to 2.28 t/ha (+5%; +42%), while in France a few decrease to 3.42 t/ha (-0,3%; -10%).
