Beginning stocks of the 2018/19 season will amount to 367 thousand tonnes, which is 46.7% less than at the beginning of the current season. Corn production in 2018. will increase by almost 24% to 16.4 million tonnes. Thus, the total supply of barley in the new season will be 16,817 million tons, which is 20,4% more than in the current season.

Russia in the new season will be able to export 6.8 million tonnes of maize, which is 41.6% more than it is expected by the end of this season.

Domestic consumption of corn will increase by 8.5% to 9.55 million tonnes, primarily due to forage consumption.

Experts FAS USDA predicts that ending stocks of corn in Russia in the 2018/19 season will increase to 467 thousand tonnes, which is by 27.2% more than expected at the end of the current season.
