Today the Railway district court Ulan-Ude has issued verdict on the criminal case against former Minister of agriculture and food of the Republic of Buryatia Alexander Minzanova. The court found Minzanova guilty of committing a crime under article "abuse of power".

During the trial it is established that Masanov, knowing that works on reconstruction of on-farm part Nagatachou irrigation system is not completed, signed documents allowing illegally to list more than 3.5 million rubles to the account of OOO "Siberian garden", has submitted false documents for works.

For this offence the court sentenced Alexander Minzanova to 2.5 years of imprisonment with serving punishment in a corrective colony of the General mode. The court also forbade him for 3 years to take leadership positions in state bodies and bodies of local self-government.
