The President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev confirmed the intention of his country to join the Customs Union before the end of 2014.
"Of course, we would like to end this year to join the Customs Union and the Eurasian economic Union", - he said at the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Atambaev added that Kyrgyzstan is already actively working on this and hopes for the successful completion of this process. "I think, God willing, everything will be fine", - he stressed.
Atambaev added that Kyrgyzstan firmly and consistently intends to intensify relations with Russia, which he called "strategic ally". He acknowledged that his country on this path are waiting for a challenge. "But if we really get down to a decisive way, many issues we could solve quickly", - he said.
