The government of Norway decided to join the EU sanctions against the Russian economy.

This is stated in the report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom, placed at the disposal of ITAR-TASS.

The document included a statement by the foreign Minister of the country Berge Brand, noting that is not part of the EU Norway intends to enforce the same restrictions that were agreed upon and adopted by the European Union on July 31.

Norway intends to join the sanctions against Russia. From the very beginning of the crisis in Ukraine Norway supported the EU and neighbouring States, in response to the allowable RF violations of international law. We do the same this time", - said the Minister.

The document notes that the EU sanctions against Russia was a response to the destabilization of the situation in the East of Ukraine.
