Israeli consulting and investment company DEMETER-AWE Holdings studied the potential of agriculture of Georgia and submitted to the government of Georgia the results of their research. According to the press service of the government of Georgia, these studies were the main topic of discussion at the meeting of the delegation of the company DEMETER-AWE Holdings with the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, which took place on 20 October in Tbilisi.

Experts DEMETER-AWE Holdings has studied the situation in different regions of Georgia and found that the leading sector of the rural economy is growing, which has 8000 years of history. They counted more than 500 endemic varieties of Georgian grapes.

The importance of the development of agriculture noted at the meeting and the Prime Minister of Georgia. "Agriculture of Georgia has great potential, including from the point of view of climate. Agriculture is extremely important for the economy of the country", - said the Prime Minister and stressed the importance of the experience of Israel in this matter.

Irakli Garibashvili thanked the guests and for the fact that they agreed to come to Georgia and take part in the events dedicated to the anniversary of the 26th century Georgian-Israeli friendship, which will be held in Tbilisi this week.
