Lithuania has set in Russia 30 games Norwegian salmon with forged certificates of Iceland from August 2014, when it was introduced by predamage. This is stated in the message of the Federal service for veterinary and phytosanitary surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor).

"The investigation found that from August of the current year, fake Icelandic veterinary certificates from the territory of Lithuania was delivered 30 consignments Norwegian salmon", - stated in the message.

In collaboration with the Rosselkhoznadzor food and Veterinary service of Iceland found that of the 30 sent to Russia parties this fish only one was actually produced in Iceland.

"The Rosselkhoznadzor considers it necessary in the shortest possible time to hold talks with the Lithuanian veterinary services to develop joint measures to stop illegal activity, aimed at the delivery of Norwegian salmon to Russia smuggled", - summarized in the report of the veterinary service of Russia.

Russia entered August 7, 2014 the package of measures on sanctions the United States, Australia, Canada, European Union and Norway offered to them in the conditions of crisis in Ukraine. Retaliatory sanctions constitute a prohibition for a period of one year for import to Russia from these countries key food groups, including salmon from Norway.
