The Prosecutor's office of the Republic of Khakasia sent to court a criminal case against the former Minister of agriculture and food of the Republic of Khakasia Ivan Wagner, informs "Interfax" with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor of the region.

The former Minister made allegations of abuse of office, illegal participation in entrepreneurial activity, abuse of power and fraud by obtaining payment made by a person using his official position, on a large scale.

A criminal case against Wagner was initiated in September 2014. The investigators believe that the officer was involved in the management of LLC "YUS-agro" and created this enterprise favorable conditions for priority allocation of subsidies. Also, according to the investigators, Wagner, when granting subsidies favoured a number of legal entities and farmers (peasant farms), owned by his relatives and close friends.

Thus, while in the position of the Minister, Wagner has allocated two dozens of affiliated legal entities and individual farms budgetary subsidies amounting to more than 2 billion - almost half of the total (4.1 billion) allocated to the Republic as a whole.
