Issuance prohibited to import into Russia of cheeses (the products now, in case of detection, will be destroyed in accordance with the decree of the President), established in the Altai region. Currently in the region do not only produce cheese "Camembert" and "Mascarpone" and "Ricotta cheese", "Mozzarella", "Burato" and several others.

This product is not just produced, but also certified. Local authorities in 2015, intend to replace 13 of 200 thousand tons are prohibited to import cheese.

According to the Altai regional administration, food processing, pharmaceutical industry and biotechnology, economic sanctions have allowed the dairy industry in the region to increase the volume of production.

"With the introduction of the embargo Altai territory by 18% increased cheese production in 2014 is plus 10 thousand tons to the total volume. This year for the first five months, the growth rate of cheese production amounted to 30% from the same period last year.
