IGC.Grain prices will remain low amid a high yield
The wheat harvest will amount to 726 million tons against the previously anticipated 727 million tons

The world harvest of grain would be close to the record in the current marketing year that will not allow the prices of cereals increased sharply, experts of the International grains Council (International Grains Council, IGC).

As reported in a press release, the yield will be 1,999 billion tons per year, which will end in June 2016, against the forecast in September, UAH 1,996 bn tons. It's only 1% less than the record figure in 2,026 billion tons recorded last year.
The wheat harvest will amount to 726 million tons against the previously anticipated 727 million tons, the IGC predicts.

Meanwhile, the corn crop forecast increased from 967 to 970 million tonnes, mainly due to the expected growth of production in the United States.

In addition, the evaluation of the harvest of soybeans in the current marketing year increased from 317 to 319 million tons, while the forecast for rice charges reduced from 477 to 474 million tons.

According to forecasts, grain stocks in the current year reached a new record of 454 million tonnes, largely due to the buildup of reserves in China.
