Czech President Milos Zeman in an interview with Blesk.cz called to stop shipments of honey from Ukraine:

"As far as I know, the honey brought from Ukraine and added to Czech. The first step now should be to prohibit the import of honey from Ukraine. The second is a more thorough quality control of honey", reports Radio Liberty.

The Czech Union of beekeepers publication reported that the results of the examination, which proves that dubious the honey occurs with the Ukrainian territories, not yet.

However, the Czech supplier of honey of dubious claims that the problem has created the goods from Ukraine. As stated by the Director of the company Včelpo Panagiotis Margaritoulis, in the Czech Republic was too little honey to meet the demand in the local market, therefore, it became necessary to import it from the EU and countries beyond. Because honey with antibiotics were mixed with Czech.

"Ukrainian honey mingled with Czech and declared as Czech. We guarantee that the quality of the honey meets the requirements of the Czech Republic" – said Margaritoulis.

However, according to Czech journalists, initially, the company stated that sells only Czech honey.

During the inspection of honey in Czech Republic in November 2015 discovered harmful substances. Antibiotics that are prohibited in agriculture of the European Union, found in the company's products Včelpo, which belongs to the Czech Union of beekeepers.
