Russia intends to increase the share of meat products in the list of exported agricultural products, as well as to give greater attention to Asian and middle Eastern markets. This was announced by Deputy Minister of agriculture Sergey Levin. According to him, exports will be increased, primarily by diversifying the range of supplied products. So, if before the bulk of exports was accounted for by wheat, but now, according to the official, there is significant potential for the export of Russian meat.

This issue is being discussed by the Rosselkhoznadzor. Recently, the Department contacted officials of the Ministry of land reclamation and agriculture, Egypt. The purpose of the conversation was the discussion of deliveries to Egypt of livestock products of the Russian manufacturers. In the product range of meat, the supply of which the Russian producers want to establish in the country includes goat, lamb, and raw meat and offal derived at slaughter and processing of sheep and goats. It is known that the veterinary services of Egypt until January 24, will be directed to the Rosselkhoznadzor for its opinion provided to the Russian side the projects therefore on those products.
