According to Agro2b.ru with reference to Reuters, falling fertilizer prices on the world market may continue to decline and be left out of high-cost producers in China, and after exhaustion of the accumulated stocks later this year will begin to rise, said the General Director of PhosAgro PHOR.MM.

The head of PhosAgro Andrey Guryev waiting for lower prices for phosphate, nitrogen and potash fertilizers for at least another 10 percent after falling 30 percent in recent months - an unusually steep dip in the low winter season, which resulted in accumulation of stocks, including in India, a key consumer of fertilizers.

"The market should find a bottom. Prices could fall another 10 percent in the next few weeks, - said Guriev. - First you need to get to the bottom, to decreased reserves, and then to resume growth".

Guriev declined to say whether the group is the Company to contribute to falling prices, but promised that the company will continue to increase output after rising by about a million tons over the past two years up to 6.8 million tons.

"Sometimes the market is well down on the same level, because that is the only way to find the Elevator that takes us up", - said Gusev in an interview.

PhosAgro is the third largest producer of Apatite concentrate required to create fertilizer for agriculture. The company also sells complex fertilizers, which are composed of recycled phosphorus, nitrogen, potash and often sulphur components.

Guriev waiting for the price of one of the key types of fertilizer - phosphorus-nitrogen compound diammonium phosphate (DAP) will fall about 10 percent to $320 per tonne free on Board (FOB), and then this year will be restored to $400 per ton.

He said that the fall in prices mainly affected marginal producers in China. Guriev remember the developments in 2008, 2010 and 2013, when the period of low prices squeezed from the market firms with high cost of production and has been replaced by growth of quotations.

The Company has one of the lowest cost production in the world - about $145 per tonne DAP compared to the industry average of $370 per ton, therefore, said Guriev, the company is willing to any price scenario.

PhosAgro increased production by 10 percent in 2015. The group helped the ruble collapsed, as it sells for dollars, and makes for rubles.
