Russia could supply to China in 2016 of about half a million tons of grain. This was reported to journalists by the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev.

"Chinese we have opened the grain market. This year I hope somewhere about half a million tons - approx. ed.) may be - wheat, barley," said the Minister, answering the question about the possible volume of grain supplies to China.

According to the head of the Ministry of agriculture, he has no plans to sign any documents with the Chinese side during the official visit of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to China, but the Ministry is negotiating with China to enter the Chinese market of meat products.

"We Chinese have long been actively negotiating to supply to the Chinese market of meat products - pork, beef, poultry. It is our great run, we are engaged in intense negotiations with them," he said.
