Now the French will be able to find out what region is used meat and milk to mix. This law will come into force in January 2017, it will last two years, reports Le Figaro.

It is compulsory for all ready meals, which include at least 50% meat or milk.

Label for meat will have to inform about the country of birth, rearing and slaughter of the animal. Milk should be information about the country collection, packaging and converting.

Manufacturers will be required to make adjustments to the information on the packages, to March 31, semi-finished products without indication of origin of meat and milk should be sold.

This innovation complements the existing law on the labelling of origin of raw meat, which was adopted in January 2015.
