Russia clears from September 1, the rates of export customs duties for individual types of fish products. This was reported by the press service of the Agency.
The change is due to the accession of the Russian Federation in December 2011 to the world trade organization, which provides for the gradual reduction of export duties on fish products.
Since 2012, the duty on frozen fish and prepared or preserved crustaceans decreased from 5% to 0%, and for crustaceans - from 10% to 0%.
As explained in the press service of Rosrybolovstva, the duty for these types of fish products annually reviewed and gradually reduced, in accordance with its Russia's obligations after accession to the WTO.
"So Russia has fulfilled the obligations in terms of customs policy within the framework of WTO and zeroed the rates of export duties on fish products", — said the Agency.
According to the Ministry, exports of fish products from Russia in January - July 2016 decreased by 9.1% compared with the figure for the same period last year and amounted to 980,2 thousand tons, Imports amounted 271,6 thousand tons (-12%).
